PSR College of Education encourages student teachers to embrace digital learning through online tools. They have enrolled in SWAYAM for various online courses and utilized open-access resources and assessment tools. Student teachers are made aware of virtual labs, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and open educational resources (OERs). A webinar on effective online strategies, ethics, and recent methods and techniques in teaching was organized by the college during the pandemic to adapt, sustain, and strengthen the teaching-learning process. Teacher educators and student teachers are provided with optimal resources for continuous professional development through digital learning. Vocational courses of interest can be enrolled through these digital learning platforms, and students were made aware of this. The credit transfer of courses done through SWAYAM was also emphasized. Student teachers were oriented by our alumnae on enrolling in SWAYAM, and periodic guidance is given to help overcome challenges during the course. This facilitated all the student teachers in enrolling in SWAYAM and sharing their digital learning experiences using video lectures, reading materials, assignments, quizzes, discussion forums, and online exams. We are excited to inform that PSR College of Education is now offering online courses (Digital Education & Learners psychology) in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU). This initiative aims to provide our students with flexible and accessible learning opportunities, ensuring they receive quality education regardless of geographical constraints. Through this course, we continue our commitment to embracing innovative teaching methods and fostering academic growth.
